September home learning resources
Home learning update - 7 Sept 2020
Due to the delayed return of some our pupils’ to school for a further two weeks because of a staff member testing positive for Coronavirus, we will be switching their learning to online and home learning. Throughout the next two weeks, learning will be provided via Zoom calls with your child’s new class teacher and through a range of online resources and activities.
Zoom links will be sent out by email on 8 September to the effected classes. Online learning and links to resources will be accessed via our school website under the ‘Home Learning’ tab and will be available from Wednesday (9th September).
Learning will follow our planned recovery curriculum and our core text ‘The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse’ by Charlie Mackesy. Online and home learning will reflect learning that would have taken place in school as closely as possible. We will hold true to our school and partnership belief in excellence for all pupils and will maintain a focus on delivering high-quality learning outcomes. We will continue to work towards celebrating our learning through ‘A Museum of Hope Exhibition’ at the end of this half term.
We will continue to stay in contact with you during the coming days. Please keep in close contact with us during the next two weeks and share any thoughts or concerns with us via our school office
We ask that parents support their child with their home learning by:
· Planning and discussing daily tasks to complete
· Dedicating time and space to completing the learning
· Encouraging your child to complete the learning to the best of their ability
· Offering support when/where necessary
· Communicate regularly with the school
As a school, we remain committed to supporting your child with their learning and development. Our teaching staff will be available to support and guide learning through our class twitter feeds, emails, the school website and via telephone.
